An Islamabad sessions court on Tuesday sentenced Umar Hayat to death after finding him guilty in the murder case of teenage TikTok influencer Sana Yousaf.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka announced the verdict, awarding the death sentence under Section 302(b) of the Pakistan Penal Code for intentional murder.

The court also ordered the convict to pay Rs2.5 million as compensation to Sana Yousaf’s family. In case of non-payment, he will face an additional six months of imprisonment.
