KARACHI: Pakistan has endured and prevailed, remaining a nation that never compromises on its sovereignty, said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing a Marka-e-Haq ceremony in Karachi on Monday.

He said Pakistan continues to rise “again and again” in the spirit of those who built the nation, highlighting unity, resilience, and national strength during challenging times.

Bilawal stated that around a year ago, Pakistan faced a period of uncertainty and rising tensions, but the nation stood firm through unity and determination.

He credited the armed forces for defending the country with courage, discipline, and dignity, while also appreciating diplomats for effectively representing Pakistan on the global stage.

“This victory was not just of weapons, but of determination and courage,” he said, adding that Pakistan’s strength lies in its unity from north to south and across all provinces.

He emphasized that Pakistan has always preferred peace over conflict and will continue to reject pressure from external forces. “We will never surrender under pressure,” he added.

He also accused certain foreign elements of attempting to distort history and reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to peace, reflection, and responsibility in difficult times.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also addressed the ceremony, saying Pakistan responded strongly to recent hostilities and defended its sovereignty effectively.

He claimed Pakistani forces successfully countered aggression and rejected Indian propaganda, while reaffirming that Pakistan’s defense capabilities remain strong and alert.

Other leaders, including Sharjeel Inam Memon, highlighted national unity and praised the armed forces for their response, calling Marka-e-Haq a moment of national pride.
